The problem

Things sliding off a small bedside top

What it changes for you

A phone, glasses or a pen pushed to the edge of a flat top ends up on the floor. This cabinet has a walnut-tone tray on top with a low raised rim to keep them in place. Below, two cream upholstered drawers with rounded corners hide everything else, separated by a thin black band that gives the piece its crisp, tailored look.

Perfect for…

  • Modern bedrooms in cream, beige and warm wood
  • Upholstered beds and soft headboards
  • Anyone who wants a clean front without handles
  • Matching pairs either side of a double bed
A tray top with a raised rim

01

A tray top with a raised rim

The walnut-tone top is shaped like a tray, with a low rim all around the edge. Glasses, a phone or a pen stay where you left them instead of sliding off in the night.

The warm wood frames the cream body and ties in nicely with oak or walnut floors. A good place for a ring, a watch or reading glasses.

Cream drawers, black reveal

02

Cream drawers, black reveal

Two upholstered cream drawers with rounded corners sit one above the other, divided by a thin black band. The contrast draws a crisp, tailored line across the front.

The same black returns at the plinth, framing the cream neatly from top to bottom. Both drawers run the full width of the cabinet.

Clean, handle-free fronts

03

Clean, handle-free fronts

There are no knobs or bars on the drawers, so the front stays smooth and nothing catches on the duvet or a sleeve. The soft finish feels pleasant to the touch.

The rounded corners keep the cabinet gentle to brush past, which matters beside a bed you get in and out of in the dark. Two side by side make a neat pair for a double bed.
