Instead of knobs, a shallow crescent is cut into the top edge of the lower drawer: one soft curve that both drawers open from, top drawer included.

Nothing sticks out to catch the duvet, and the dark recess inside the curve is the only detail on the plain white front, so the cabinet looks calm and uncluttered.
