Yes. It is screwed to the wall through its back plate, so it needs a solid wall or studs. Use fixings suited to your wall type, and check for pipes and cables before drilling.
How high should I mount it?
Fix it so the top tier sits roughly level with the top of your mattress, or a few centimetres above, so the lamp and your phone are within easy reach.
